Federico Acuto and Stefano Gaudimundo of Masterplanstudio – local architect for the Angola pavilion designed by Paula Nascimento – edited an interesting time-lapse video using all the construction site photos, from the very beginning until the end of construction.
This prefabricated wooden structure of 1,800 square meters has been designed for the general contractor Atlantic Alliance by Mangiavacchi Pedercini in association with Cile and Nessi & Majocchi.
Mangiavacchi Pedercini S.p.A. decided to start the process to get certified according to SA 8000 (Social Accountability).
The certifying body Certiquality – who started the audit in July – will work to ensure compliance to key issues such as:
- respect for human rights
- respect for the rights of workers
- protection against the exploitation of children
- guarantees of safety and health at work
With this process Mangiavacchi Pedercini S.p.A. – already involved as promoter of the Responsible Building network – confirms its commitment and attention to Corporate Social Responsibility.
On June 11, it was signed the supplementary agreement for all additional work that Angola has awarded Mangiavacchi Pedercini, CILE e Nessi & Majocchi.
Once again Albina Assis Africano, Angolan commissioner and head of all commissioners, showed her appreciation for the quality and punctuality of work performed, confirming the desire to replace the pavilion in Angola.

The Guarantor Authority for Competition and Market decided to assign to the company Mangiavacchi Pedercini the score of two stars and to place the company in the list of companies with ratings of legality.
The Institute of “rating of legality” was introduced in 2012, with the act “Cresci Italia”, in order to promote the inclusion of ethical principles in corporate behavior, and to help access for enterprises to bank credit and funding provided by public administrations.
It is important to remember that, in the rating of legality, Social Responsibility is placed between the requirements.
